Dear Friend,

It's a mystery to me how you got here today.

Maybe you read something I published on the internet, maybe you came here through a friends recommendation. Or maybe you're just plain lucky!

Well my friend, I'm happy you're here because you have found what some of my friends consider the most important place on the internet.

Let me explain why.

I'm originally from Germany and have always loved making the people around me succeed. I moved to New York in 2005 with the dream to make it big.

So, for example, through a friend I got recommended to work with the guys from Freakonomics. They wanted to conduct the first-ever official academic experiment online. (Usually this is done in person and on-site but they needed to leverage the internet for their purposes.) I helped them succeed by building an intricate software system that would enroll more than 40,000 experiment subjects from 33 countries in less than a year.

It worked out really well for them.

Then I helped a friend to come up with a really good idea for teaching people to code online. This class went on to become the #1 best-selling class for learning to program. It has helped more than 10,000 people better understand what this whole coding business is all about.

It's working out really well for him.

Then, in the past 2 months, I've been working with a friend who really understands Venture Capital. He has this idea for a startup that helps startups in a certain way and I think he's super smart and driven. I'm helping him succeed right now by building a first software prototype that he can put in front of his future customers. To learn and improve upon his assumptions and really nail it. So far, he has attracted 7 venture firms and over 130 startups that are using this thing on a daily basis.

It's working out really well for him.

There are more examples, but the bottom line is:

I've helped people make hundreds of thousands of dollars and also be successful in their personal lives as well.

You see, I want the people around me succeed. I really do. If you're successful it's good for me, too.

By building.

By writing.

By helping.

Having said all of this I think you'll be thrilled staying in touch.

I've started to publish my writing and if you're interested in reading it, you should subscribe to my newsletter now.

I send out a new piece of writing that you'll enjoy every 2 weeks or so.

If you're interested in working together, please get in touch with my assistant.

Please know though: I'm usually fully booked but if you and your project are interesting, I'm happy to meet for a coffee here in Soho and hear more.

Life is just too short for bullshit so let's focus on the good stuff!

Having said all this, it's a beautiful day and I now have to get back to work.

Have a great day.
